SERVE

Serving Our God & Others

In Faith
For God’s Glory
By His Strength
For Our JOY!

We believe that God has given each Christian gifts that they might glorify him in using those gifts in service to one another and to their neighbors (locally and globally) in God’s strength. We also believe that we ultimately serve that we might find JOY in how God made us. We would love to have you serve alongside us at Main Street Church!

As a local gathering of Christians, a group of disciples, we realize that God has many different ways we can serve and care for one another, and this is one of the main goals of gathering together as a local church. God his given all Christians spiritual gifts by his Holy Spirit so that we can learn to submit ourselves and our resources to the local church.

At Main Street Church we pray that you find many ways to serve in our community to encourage and equip one another, and we also want to come alongside you to help you discover the areas that God has given you gifts and talents through his Holy Spirit, that you might be released more and more to use those.

As we see the value of being a part of the local church and as we commit in real ways to a particular church (membership), we should find ourselves desiring to use the knowledge, understanding, gifts, and talents that God has given us. And, as we look at the body, we should be delighted to employ any gift or talent that we have if they are required. Even more importantly, we should be excited to serve in general even where we are not gifted if that’s what the church needs! Let us know how we can help you get connecte to serve.
