GLOBAL OUTREACH

For the Fame of His Name

We don’t want to forget the global view of Christ’s disciple-making mandate! We are to help make disciples of ALL peoples—near and far. While most of us have been called to our life in our country and our ministry to our co-workers, neighbors, and others here, we should not forget God’s global program 1) by at least supporting his work with other peoples through prayer, 2) potentially supporting global efforts with our personal time (going short-term) and/or money, and 3) considering if God might call us to go and pursue a life of Loving God, Loving Others, and Making Disciples of Jesus somewhere other than here in Boise, Idaho. We hope there are many ways that our church members get engaged in global outreach on their own and are happy if they are supporting any global outreach ministry or missionaries they feel called to help.

GLOBAL Outreach Partners

The Global Outreach partners and ministries we support directly as a church are emblematic examples of the types of global work we would encourage our members to partner with. While we support some global efforts solely with funding, again, we have a preference for global partners and work that allows our members to be involved and to care through their time and efforts. Additionally, the primary work of Global Outreach is to see people saved who, like us, gather as a church to care for one another and their community. So while we value partners and ministries that care for practical needs (e.g. water, housing, education), we give preference to ministries that ultimately aim to grow, plant, and strengthen local churches and leaders.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
