Children’s Ministry

We believe that children are a gift from God (Psalm 127:3), and we want to help their parents and/or guardians equip and train them well in the ways of God and the knowledge of Jesus Christ. To that end, we don’t see our Children’s Ministry as first-and-foremost about us training kids, rather how we are helping engage them through play, prayer, worship, and Scripture so they can be better equipped and trained well by their parents and guardians.

We are excited to see children be a part of our Sunday Gathering time as well as Gospel Community times and Events. While some of ourCare & Equipping times are geared specifically for adults only, we want to provide many ways for our children to be encouraged and discipled alongside their parents through their experience of local church life together. We also understand that part of that discipleship can be helped at times by child-specific teaching and times of being with one another. We try to employ a both-and model where parents can pick what is helpful to their children at any given point.

Currently our children stay in the main service (9 & 10:45AM) with their parents for our call-to-worship, worship, and announcements and then any child form Nursery to Fifth Grade is welcome to join their class downstairs for an age-appropriate lesson, craft, and fun time while the sermon is being preached. After the sermon, parents are asked to pick up their children and have them join them again for the remainder of worship.

The Gospel Project™

With the Gospel Project, every week kids will experience the good new of the gospel through a Bible Study that is:

  • Christ Centered: It’s all about Jesus, and every story points back to him.

  • Heart Transforming: This study is designed to encourage true transformation that comes only from the gospel, not from behavior modification.

  • Age Aligned: Each week, every participant—from preschoolers to fifth graders—can participate and study from the same section of Scripture

  • Chronological: All age levels study the narrative of the Bible in order from Genesis to Revelation.

  • Theologically Rich: All studies are presented in an age-aweare manner, and every session is doctrinally sound and thorough.

  • Missionally Minded: Every session calls participantts to respond by sharing and living out the gospel.

Additinally, each week includes fun teaching sessions, crafts, games, and engagement with one another and adults! The goal is for our children to find that Jesus truly wants them to know and find joy in their relationship with him.

We know it matters that you know where your children are going, what they are being taught, and who is caring for them. We are happy to help answer any questions you may have and help you feel comfortable that your children are being pointed to Christ in all that we do!
