Local Outreach

For the Fame of His Name

Along the way of caring for one another and being equipped, we never want to forget the other ways God is moving outside of our local church! While our local church is our primary expression of trying to “Love God, Love Others, and Make Disciples of Jesus Christ” here locally, we know there are other ways of serving our community that are good and necessary, but are not the primary goals of the local church (as we are an organization primarily for member care and equipping). We hope and pray there are many ways that our church members have found to engage our community through many different partners, and we are excited when they are using their time and resources to support these ministries.

LOCAL OUTREACH PARTNERS

The Local Outreach partners and ministries that we support directly as a church are groups we have chosen 1) to expose our members to opportunities that we believe offer needed outreach in our community and where our members may feel called to help on a more regular basis, 2) that specifically work to help train Christians in doing the type of disciple-making, equipping, and care we are also pursuing together as a church, and 3) help us meet our strategic goals for outreach (see below). While we support partners and ministries that provide crucial help to local churches and Christians with direct funding, our preference is for Local Outreach partners and ministries that we can support through our members and their engagement with the ministry. Additionally, while we value practical needs ministries (e.g. help with education, food, clothing, etc), we prioritize ministries that allow our members to get to know those they are serving with a goal of long-term disciple-making when possible.
